AMI, Am MeAfar Yakum, is a unique educational experience that brings high school students who have displayed leadership abilities to Poland and Israel. Participants visit sites in Poland and Israel where the Jewish people flourished during the centuries preceding World War II, and learn about the tragic events of the Holocaust, that brought an end to the vibrant Jewish life of Eastern Europe. From the intense emotion of Polandand Yom HaShoah, participants travel to Israel, learning about and experiencing the Jewish people’s triumphant, miraculous rebirth in Medinat Yisrael, culminating with a Yom Ha’Atzmaut celebration that won’t be soon forgotten.
