Bnei Akiva’s High School Solidarity Mission was initiated in 2002 by three high school seniors who decided that making a difference in Eretz Yisrael was more important to them than having an enjoyable and relaxed winter break.

Bnei Akiva, together with its high school leaders, has organized a solidarity mission for high school seniors. Participants spend 10 packed days volunteering at army bases, visiting hospitals, packaging food for the poor, interacting with victims of terror, and more. The cost for the trip, subsidized by donations and fundraising done by participants, is approximately $1000 per participant. The long-lasting impact of the trip is far greater than the cost-- participants come back from the mission finding that although they came to Israel to contribute and give of themselves, they left having gained so much more- a deeper connection to Am Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael. This year, participants on the mission will spend a significant amount of time helping with chessed projects in areas of Northern Israel ravaged by the recent war with Lebanon.
