The
main focus of your year in Israel will be to grow in Torah and spirituality. Therefore the participants will study as regular students at their Yeshivot and Midrashot. However, our spiritual lives are more intricate then learning the text of Torah alone, rather, they also include ma’aseh - action. This is when we leave the Beit Midrash and turn our lives into lives of Torah.

In addition to formal Torah learning Bnei Akiva’s One year Programs will address issues that are at the headlines of Jewish life in Israel and the Diaspora at these times. Only by relating to these issues will the Israel year be a total experience.

The program will deal with these subjects during Shabbatonim and seminars throughout the year. All the programs and Shabbatonim will be accompanied by
prominent Rabbi’s and teachers from Yeshivot, Midrashot, and leaders of Religious Zionism!

Bnei Akiva will take an overall responsibility for the participants of the program all year round. The coordinator (Racaz), together with the Director of Israel programs, and Rav/Educational Director, will be in contact with the participants and parents throughout the year.

If a participant is looking for a family for Shabbat or if she/he has a personal problem that they need help with, the Bnei Akiva staff will be available for them at all times throughout the year. Bnei Akiva feels very strongly that our participants should have a permanent address during their time in Israel whether they are on or off campus.

A major focus of our program is to train and enrich the participants to be able to take up leadership positions in Bnei Akiva and in their respective communities. In this way Bnei Akiva hopes to strengthen religious and
Zionistic dimensions of the various Jewish communities with young Bnei and Bnot Torah.

Bnei Akiva is offering the all-round experience in Israel. The ultimate Religious Zionist experience, a learning level and method that suites you individually while allowing you to spend your time with a fantastic social group, and get the total Israel experience.
